Expertise that Speaks Volumes in Pharmacy Care
Pharmacist and owner Richard Neylon, hails from Loughrea, Co. Galway. Richard studied Pharmacy in Trinity College Dublin, obtaining his honours degree in 2009. After qualifying, he spent some time working in Dublin, around the Ballyfermot area before returning west. Since then, Richard has combined his love of Irish music with his profession. Richard spent time touring with various Irish bands and stage shows playing the uilleann pipes across Europe, the United States and further afield. A former All-Ireland champion, Richard’s passion for Irish music soon gave way to a full-time career in Pharmacy.
After spending many years working for and learning from Michael Whelan in Galway, Richard decided to venture out on his own, taking over what was previously the Matt O’Flaherty’s Chemist in Barna. Now known as Neylon’s Pharmacy, this is where Richard can be found most of the time, when he’s not at home helping to raise three young children with his wife Blathnaid.

“As a pharmacist, I am driven by a singular mission: to provide comprehensive care for all who walk through our doors at Neylon’s Pharmacy.
